New You with help from | |
Happy New Year! And a great 2010! I was struck by this thought pre Xmas when the snow came down and changed many people's festive season. It was easy to become gloomy and anxious rather than focusing on what we have got and how to make it work for us. We have planned at Experience Matters a number of events for just this purpose - to help us enjoy the year ahead to the full. We
all know that as well as the pleasure of spending time with our family
over the festive season it can add a lot of strain! I remember when my
kids were small and I was exhausted just looking after them and
worrying if they had enough sleep and the right food etc, someone
saying, 'you think you have problems now, wait till they're are older!' I
don't think I fully agree with that, the problems, when they come are
different for sure, but worse? I can't say so. What I have noticed is
that now they are older there is little - well in truth nothing- I can
do about their willfulness! Negotiation was certainly the key to happy
relationships in our house! Our 'relationships' workshop is just the answer for anyone who wants to rekindle any of their relationships or start anew. I
ended the year with a great piece in Good Housekeeping magazine. I had
a fab day with a stylist, makeup artist, journalist and photographer
in my home. They dressed me in gorgeous clothes and made me up to feel
like a star. I must admit I don't look quite my best at the moment. I
don't know if any of you, like me, have eaten and drunk just a bit too
much over the festive season. I'm definitely going to have to get back
into that exercise regime and change my eating habits. It is so easy
to eat more and so much harder to reduce it! Both our Looking Good and Feeling Confident workshop on 6th March, and Health and Wellbeing workshop on 20th March will give you just the boost you need. We
also offer one to one sessions with myself or with our experienced
coaches. Each one has a specialism that will help you to achieve your
goals for 2010. My second book 'Who's that sleeping in my bed? The art of relationships for grown-ups' is out in paperback this week. I was talking on regional radio on Tuesday and Thursday this week, and am 'reading the papers' on Radio London on Friday. I hope you can all tune in! If not do go http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/london/- as some of the programme will be there for you to listen again. We look forward to seeing many of you over the coming months. Have a good year!
