Dear All

Here we are well into Autumn.  I am increasingly amazed how quickly time goes.  I was always told time speeds up when you get older and it is so true.  It has never been so important for me to grab opportunities when they come with both hands.  All of us have times when we get into a rut and it is easy to stay there, but if we are going to be fulfilled in our lives we need to make the changes we want to make before it's too late.  We find ourselves making excuses as to why we can't take six months out, or change our jobs or the way we live; when what we actually mean is we are a bit afraid of change.
We at Experience Matters can help you with this.

Looking back at my own life over the last two years things are certainly different.  Two years ago I was just embarking on my writing career but now with two books under my belt and articles in the Daily Mail and Woman's Weekly, advice and comments in several women's magazines and a lifestyle article in Good Housekeeping later this year, things are certainly different.

Experience Matters has continued to grow.

We now have our own style coach Sue Donnelly. See our new style page. She is an expert in helping you whatever your age or sex to look good.  Do book a session with her or come and see her at our next Looking Good and Feeling Confident workshop on March 6th.

We've had a very busy early Autumn running our workshops.  The Love, Sex and Relationships workshop was attended by both couples and single people with different goals, some looking for a new relationship others, ways to improve the relationship they are in and some who were assessing whether they were in the right relationship.  We had an interesting mix of speakers.  Do take a look at the website www.experiencematters.org.uk  to learn more about it.  Our next one is on January 16th.

We had a fantastic demonstration and lesson from Bobbi Brown makeup and skin care experts at our Looking Good and Feeling Confident workshop in September. Bobbi Brown herself is over 50 so has all the tricks of the trade to help you look your best.  They also offered all participants a free one hour session to learn what suits you and how to apply the makeup.  In the afternoon, our style expert helped us look at what suited our shape and what were the best colours to wear.  She also gave us tips on the latest styles and how to look trendy (if that's what you want!) without having to spend a lot of money.  Do you know that most women wear 20% of their clothes 80% of the time?  I've done a total clear out of my wardrobe since then.  There is definitely more space but what remains all suits me. The next workshop is on Saturday March 6th.

Our Health and Wellbeing workshop was another great day.  We had an opportunity to try out yoga, pilates, cranial osteopathy and acupuncture.  Many commented on how great it was to have tasters in these areas rather than having to book into a class. The acupuncture was the  highlight of the day for many. We all had 5 needles (they are actually more like fine pieces of wire) put onto our ears to enhance our wellbeing.  We all felt good and it was a wonderful experience.  The next Health and Wellbeing workshop is on Saturday March 20th.

If you are wanting to or having to go back to work, or are thinking of applying for a new job,or a change of career, we are offering a
'Mid Life Boost! Life and Work Make-over' package on
Thursday 25th February and Friday 26th February.

This consists of a CV writing and Interview skills 2 day course and combined with the Looking Good workshop and Health and Wellbeing workshop for a complete 3 or 4 day course. Each part can be taken separately. See the website for all the details.

We would love to see you at next years' workshops which I am sure will be equally if not more exciting.

We are also delighted with the response we've had for coaching and advice.  Do book in to a phone or personal session with me or one of our team if you think it would help you make the choices you need to make sort out home or work midlife muddles.

Do feel free to contact us about any issue affecting you as a 'mid-lifer' and if we can offer you support in anyway we will do.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you soon.

Best wishes
Keren
