EXPERIENCE MATTERS

PRE-CHRISTMAS 2008 NEWSLETTER

Website Home

Dear All

It's amazing to think that it is already the end of the year. They come round so fast at our age!

We have sent our newsletter early this month so we could let you know about our Christmas offers.

Have you ever found yourself wondering what to buy the 50 plus person and wanting to give them something different?  What better than something that is both good fun and can give them a confidence and energy boost and new ideas to cope with life's challenges.  All of us can gain from learning about ourselves, and how to manage our personal and professional lives better.  An Experience Matters workshop does just that.  You can purchase a workshop gift voucher for friends and family that is valid for 2009.  The recipient can choose whichever workshop they fancy and it is 20% off to you as a member - only £75.

We are also offering a special 'recession and redundancy' coaching package for those of you who are fearful about redundancy, or worried about how you will cope if your partner is made redundant. These coaching sessions are available at 20 percent off our published price.  Phone or email us for details.

The paperback edition of, 'Who's that Woman in the Mirror? The art of ageing gracefully', is out on December 11th and is available now to order through Amazon (click on the book image on the right hand side to order).

Another good idea for a Christmas present! See our website for further details.

We have posted another article in our financial advice series written by our retired accountant on how to manage the recession.  If you want some further advice or help on this or anything else, please book a coaching session with one of our coaches who can help you to find ways to cope with life's challenges.

One of our members is interested in finding out other member's experiences of bullying and harassment of older female workers.  We have posted her question in the members section, 'Questions from members' and you can reply to her on the forum.  If you have had any experience or know of someone who has been affected by this, please add your comments.  I think this is an important area and one that we should both research into and publicise.  The more visible it is as an issue the more likely it is that it will be tackled publicly. If anyone else has any topics they would like discussed on the website please don't hesitate to contact us. We are a large group of experienced people and we really can be a powerful influence.

We look forward to meeting more of you next year and to continuing our dialogue.

Have a good Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Best wishes
Keren
